The Santo Daime is a religious doctrine of indigenous inspiration and it has as base the ritual use of Ayahuasca, a drink of Inca origin. Appeared in the Brazilian state of Acre at the beginning of the twentieth century. The founder of the doctrine was a farmer and descendant of the slaves Mr. Raimundo Irineu Serra, also known as the Godfather or Master Irineu (in Portuguese: Padrinho or Mestre Irineu).

The Church Céu do Ceará began its work in 1999 iniciated by it´s Godfather (Padrinho) Fernando Guanabara who had his first contact with the doctrine of Santo Daime in 1995. Since then the church is growing and welcoming various new members / brothers.
