According to instructions given by Godfather Fernando Guanabara, it was agreed that:


SCHEDULE:
1) Arrival time: everyone should get at least half an hour before the start of the session;

2) Start time of the session: the session will begin at 19:00 hours, in the case of extra or special sessions, the beginning will be indicated on the website of the Church (www.ceudoceara.org);

3) Time of departure: for security reasons, all cars should leave at the same time.

ADMISSION FOR BEGINNERS AND VISITORS:

6) All beginners have to read carefully this document "Regulation - Rules and Procedures of the Church of Céu do Ceará” and to commit to accept this regulation;

7) The neophyte and / or uniformed may only participate in the proceedings when directed by a church member or manager of another church or point, unless he/she has been authorized by the Godfather Fernando;

8) Neophytes and / or uniformed being informed via www.ceudoceara.org (Site of Céu do Ceará) can only participate in the proceedings after the assessment-interview conducted by the Godfather Fernando.

9) Both neophytes and uniformed members of other churches /points ,will have to be interviewed, filling out a questionnaire. This anamnesis (summary of history) is to be examined by the leader, Mr. Fernando;

10) Visitors, as well those invited by so called “soldiers” of the Church Céu do Ceará, should be interviewed and their visit should be approved in advance of the ceremony by the Godfather Fernando;

11) The Church Céu do Ceará only lends hymnals-books for newcomers / visitors the first time they come to church;

12) If the beginner chooses to return to Church Céu do Ceará, he/she will have to purchase the songbook of the spiritual ceremony of the day. These so called “hinários” are songbooks which contain all hymns which are to be sung in the ceremony. Participating regularly in our ceremonies, the new member will soon have to complete his/her collection, being able to following the spiritual services of Santo Daime easily.

UNIFORMS:

13) New soldiers will only receive an official uniform, after 6 months participating in the spiritual sessions of Santo Daime. The handing out of a uniform is to be approved by Godfather Fernando. Absence of the sessions should be explained and have important reasons. The attendance, interest and concern for the Church of a mew member will analyzed as well as the behavior of the soldier before, during and after the sessions;

14) For the zeal of harmony, the members are required to wear full uniform in the works; Women should follow the rules of the “Pronto Socorro” and use the emblem embroidered on the pocket;

15) The neophyte will have to come dressed with a white or light blouse, men in pants and women in long skirts.
You should use shoes, avoid costumes, jewelry and use no perfume or makeup;
ABSENCE IN THE WORK:

16) Who can not attend to official work dates stipulated as the official calendar of the Church Céu do Ceará, should notify in advance - except for important (unpredictable) reasons. If the uniformed member is absent for 3 sessions in a row, he/she shall notify his church;

17) The soldier who, e.g. by reason of moving to another city, is going to attend another church, should communicate this. Without prior notification to the Director of Céu do Ceará, the member will be notified;

CHILDREN:

18) Members / parents will be held responsible for minor children;

SUPERVISOR:

22) The importance of the supervisor - the supervisors are the representatives of the Godfather and Godmother in the hall of the church during the spiritual sessions; they should be respected and obeyed;

23) The soldier and / or neophyte can only leave the church during the sessions after informing the supervisor where she/he goes. All soldiers, especially those in uniform, will only be allowed to spend no more than 3 songs out of the hall;

24) The supervisor does not sit (except for work of concentration or order of the Godfather) and the supervisor will not play rattle (maracá) or instruments. However, depending on the execution of the session, there will be exceptions, to be decided by the Godfather Fernando;

25) The supervisor must always be aware of everything that occurs in the Church during the sessions;

26) If someone wants to drink water, he/she should ask the supervisor for permission and then go to fetch it in the corridor of the Church (exception: the supervisor can bring water only for the integrants of the table in the center of the Church, because these members should not be absent from their posts.

CONDUCT OF SOLDIER:

27) Pay attention to sexual abstinence - 3 days before and 3 days after work. The same goes for alcohol and drugs. In this way you can work better your vital energy;

28) On the day of work, avoid eating too much. Prefer white meat and salads. Try to have your last meal at least 4 hours before the session. If the stomach is too full, the Daime will not work well and you probably will not feel comfortable;

29) Avoid large jewelry, do not use perfume or makeup;

30) The soldiers must present himself/herself in the spiritual sessions similar as in military service: with complete uniform, clean, tidy, clean shoes, shaven, combed hair. Men who have long hair should have hair stuck;

31) During the session is prohibited to use mobile phones. In case of an emergency, inform the supervisor, who will request authorization from the Godfather;

32) In case of sickness, nausea or if you don’t feel well, contact the supervisor. If she/he can not help, the supervisor will talk to the Godfather;

33) Avoid gossip, and negative issues before, during and after work;

34) It is not permitted induced incorporation inside or outside the Church;

35) When it comes to spontaneous incorporating, a member will be appointed to indoctrinate the person;

36) Members and / or neophytes, even married, will be prohibited from becoming kissing or hugging, to avoid libidinal energy;

37) The entry of members and / or neophytes drunk or on drugs to the Church terrain is not allowed;

38) It is forbidden to talk and laugh in the church during the spiritual sessions;

39) Do not confuse friendship and discipline at work;

40) Pay attention to your posture before, during and after work;

41) During the session, the attitude is extremely important: keep your back straight, legs closed, head held high. Do not cross your hands or legs;

42) About clothes before and after the session: all soldiers must wear descent clothes, skirts below the knee for women and trousers for men. It will not be allowed to use a T-shirts without sleeves (for both sexes), transparent and tight clothes;

43) Car Pool /sharing/hiking: When you are invited and participate as a passenger of a vehicle of another member, please respect the time-schedule of the person who gives you a ride and give a contribution to fuel-expenses. Inform yourself in advance of the spiritual sessions if there is a possibility of the ride and make appointments in order not to delay the participation of other members;

44) The soldiers must bring and maintain their hymnals/songbooks, put the name on the front cover, make the necessary corrections and always gather all your belongings when finishing the session;

45) In the “stand-up” sessions (trabalhos bailados), do not put water on the table. If you want to drink water, go out of the room to drink; (see no. 26)

46) No smoking is permitted in any place of the church site;

47) According to Mestre's Irineu Statute ((Estatuto do Centro de Iluminação Cristã Luz Universal – Capítulo IX – Art. 19º. )), The Brazilian Constitution and the Penal Code, it is forbidden to use or traffic in intoxicating morphine, heroin, cocaine, marijuana, alcohol, LSD and other deleterious effects.

48) Who get to sleep in the church, stay on the ground of the church even until the day dawn, to catch the first bus. (for the sake of privacy)

49) The mattresses of the Church are only for children;

50) The only person allowed to call the "Viva" is the Godfather or Manager of work;

51) Avoid creating nicknames for colleagues;

52) Women should bring their personal belongings, such as tampons, underwear, etc.

53) The “serventia” (sacristy) is not of free access - only the Director, the auditors or authorized persons may enter!

54) After work, everyone should gather their belongings in the Church (hymn books, bags, maracás, etc.), collect their tripods and help organize the room, collect used cops and songbooks, etc.;

57) The members can bring toilet paper and cleaning products, to assist in cleaning the room and bathrooms;

58) It is each member responsible for cleaning up her/his vomit and / or any dirt inside the hall; If the soldier is unable to clean it, try to communicate to the supervisor. Remember to always leave the bathroom clean for the next that comes to use it. It's all about education!

59) The soldiers are required to know the Hymnal of the day and should take all your hymnals/songbooks to the church. The calendar of official and extra work are on the site of the Church Céu do Ceará (www.ceudoceara.org).

60) Before getting uniformed, the soldier has to get all the hymnals that are used more often, if there is interest in purchasing the CDs of hymn books, send an e-mail to the site of the Church and make the request;

DANCE, MUSICAL INSTRUMENTS AND HYMNS:

64) The dance(bailado) should be discreet, without turning the body, without swinging the hair and arms, in order not to disturb the others. Do not keep their hands in their pockets or arms crossed;

65) The rattle (maracá) - should always be played on hand, with care and discretion. It is not correct to shake the rattle loose in the air. Before touching rattle, the soldier must request permission from the Godfather / Godmother. The same goes for all other musical instruments;

66) The songbook / hymnal is very important during the session and should be used, read, sung and should not to be used for fanning or stay closed;

67) Even with the hymnal-book in the hand, you have to hit the rattle in the hand;

68) Do not play musical instruments with your eyes closed;

69) Dance/march(bailado): wait for the squad left of each row to start the ballet-movement, starting to move to the left and it is always the 1st.row/line which leads;
70) Do not dance/march with closed eyes;

71) Wait till the hymn is finished to left your place or to come back to your place;

72) You should practice the new hymns at home, looking in the hymnal and making appropriate markings; it is not allowed to bring pen and make notes in the hall;

73) When you do not know the song or if you are not sure, sing low;

74) Always respect who is "pulling" the hymnal;

CONTRIBUTION:

75) All soldiers have to be even with the Church;

CLOSURE OF THE SESSION:

77) On the closure of the session, all the soldiers and visitors have to be within the Church;

78) After the session is finished, look for walking and talking softly to respect the others. If you feel that the partner does not want to talk, respect it;

79) You should only go home, when the effect of Santo Daime is passing, and when the Director permits to do so in order to avoid possible inconvenience;

PENALTIES:

81) The member and / or neophyte who violate these rules:
a) 1st time: will be called attention - oral warning;
b) 2nd time: will be suspended for a period of 1 to 6 months;
c) 3rd time: will be discharged;
d) If the soldier and / or neophyte commit any act embarrassing that would undermine the rules and regulations of the Church will be expelled.


NOTE: This document may be modified (adding new items), when the Godfather Fernando so authorize, or as the rules of the Emergency Room of Acre.
